Babe (1995)
Country: AUS
Technical: col 92m
Director: Chris Noonan
Cast: James Cromwell, Magda Szubanski
Synopsis:
A piglet is won by a sheep-farmer, taken in by the sheepdogs and wins the sheepdog trials.
Review:
Charming and amusing family film which employs all manner of tricks to produce talking animals, to most of which the viewer remains oblivious. The free-flowing whimsy has been somewhat overtaken by the Wallace and Gromit films, but the characterisations remain pleasant, with Ferdinand the duck a clear debtor to Looney Tunes' Daffy.
