Review:
A good-looking Paramount war drama that treads with understandable circumspection around issues of the present conflict, and this is ultimately what limits the dramatic impact of a downbeat tale of heroism. The production obviously had access to naval equipment and the aerial sequences are impressive enough, but the spectacular miniature work, though well matched, ultimately made the bomb runs seem perfunctory and lacking in danger.
