For the most part an absorbing, powerful and occasionally amusing drama, cogently scripted by David Hare and acted by a stout cast in a way that avoids stridency, even if the direction does not entirely eschew 'worthiness' in its attempt to imbue a frequently visited subject with the appropriate respect and entertainment value.
