San Andreas (2015)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/2.35:1 114m
Director: Brad Peyton
Cast: Dwayne Johnson, Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario, Ioan Gruffud, Paul Giamatti

Synopsis:

An air rescue pilot gets the chance to rebuild his family as the entire western seaboard crumbles into the ocean.

Review:

At least the 70s disaster movies had some consideration for secondary characters The scenes of wholesale destruction beggar belief, but dramaturgically the film isn't a patch on Earthquake (which is saying something) and it says a lot more about post 9/11 trauma and entrenched conservative values than a Captain America movie: stepdad British architect (aka Richard Chamblerlain), dad beefcake action hero who never missed a rescue except for his own daughter; and collapsing buildings.
