Synopsis:

Review:

Shot in Montana, which affords handsome if unobtrusive backdrops, and unsure whether it is road, caper or buddy movie but benefiting from that very fluidity, this was the evidence on which a major studio would eventually let Cimino spend millions to film The Deer Hunter. It's not a bad film at all, achieving a certain unity with its repeated motifs of hidden loot and prayer house/school house bookends, and dramatic heft from its downbeat ending.
