An impresario collects together five or six burlesque artists from America and launches them on a French coastal tour to end in Paris, hoping they will reverse his misfortunes.

Fascinating road movie, where nothing quite goes right for the embattled team leader, as he struggles with cancelled venues, former lovers, kids, testy artistes and a serious tobacco addiction. Eventually he softens and the girls rally round, realising that it is better to be a big family than working on their own.
