Country: GB/GER/SP/LITH
Technical: col/2.35:1 111m
Director: Brad Anderson
Cast: Emily Mortimer, Woody Harrelson, Kate Mara, Eduardo Noriega, Ben Kingsley

Synopsis:

An American couple returning from a charity stint in China boards the Transsiberian for the adventure of it and shares a compartment with another couple smuggling drugs and cash from the Far East. A dubious Russian police detective is not far behind.

Review:

Appreciate the overhead shots of the express train, because travelog is the only possible reason for enjoying this tired old thriller, which dusts off the 'innocents abroad' clichés to have you gawp at their ineptitude. Meanwhile the talented cast has nothing to do except act it up. The Lady Vanishes (1938) was a lot more fun.
