Synopsis:
After the Bolshevik revolution Greek refugees from Odessa arrive in Thessaloniki and are granted a narrow strip of land on which to settle. Melancholy, painstakingly drawn narrative with some arresting leaps in chronology and featuring some of its director's characteristically long takes. Like all his work it acquires a cumulative weight and power to move.
