And Now for Something Completely Different (1971)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: col 88m
Director: Ian MacNaughton
Cast: John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam

Synopsis:

A compilation of the best sketches from the first two series of Monty Python's Flying Circus, restaged for the film cameras and directed by the producer of the BBC show.

Review:

The material is brilliantly sewn together as an extended version of the stream-of-consciousness style of the TV shows, and when it is as good as this, interest rarely flags. Highlights include the War's Deadliest Joke, Nudge Nudge, Hell's Grannies and the Upper Class Twit of the Year. The Parrot Sketch falls oddly flat, however.
