Barb Wire (1995)
Country: US
Technical: col 98m
Director: David Hogan
Cast: Pamela Anderson Lee, Temuera Morrison, Victoria Rowell
Synopsis:
In Steel Harbor, a city of the future, a hard-bitten bar owner finds herself caught between the fascist Congressionals and the Resistance fighters, one of whom is an old flame. At stake is the successsful smuggling of a valuable witness of government misdeeds out of the country with the help of some identity-disguising contact lenses.
Review:
A pop-SF gender-bending re-working of the plot of "Casablanca" and, once you realize as much, quite entertaining. However, the comic strip violence is at times offensive and erotic pretensions remain unfulfilled.
