Bonnie Scotland (1935)
Country: US
Technical: bw 80m
Director: James Horne
Cast: Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, James Finlayson, June Lang
Synopsis:
Stan and Ollie find themselves on the North West frontier of India, having inadvertently enlisted in the British army, Scots regiment!
Review:
As with the MGM Marx Brothers films, the Laurel and Hardy features had space to accommodate the romantic subplot, which here involves the true heiress of the MacLaurel estate. As in Beau Hunks we again have Finlayson as the sergeant, and the boys naturally come good in the end (another difference from the shorts).
