Brute Force (1947)
Country: US
Technical: bw 96m
Director: Jules Dassin
Cast: Burt Lancaster, Charles Bickford, Hume Cronyn
Synopsis:
Convicts seek to escape a sadistic warden.
Review:
A Mark Hellinger production, but at least we are spared his incessant commentary. Instead we have a good doctor and distracting flashbacks to bring on the female stars, though Cronyn is compelling and the violence has a certain verve.
