This combined HBO/BBC production achieves a suitable atmosphere of bureaucratic efficiency in which the bloodless calculation of logistics comes with the cold matter of factness of a rifle butt to the solar plexus. Perhaps reaching after the thespian big guns in the casting was a mistake, but the duo do nothing if not a decent job.
