Doctor at Sea (1955)
Country: GB
Technical: col/Vistavision 93m
Director: Ralph Thomas
Cast: Dirk Bogarde, Brigitte Bardot, Brenda de Banzie, James Robertson Justice
Synopsis:
Simon Sparrow takes a post on an exclusively male-crewed cargo freighter to escape the boredom of general practice and the unwelcome attentions of his female patients. When they dock in Rio, however, he meets a bewitching young singer.
Review:
Passable comedy sequel with the customary shipboard ingredients: a vociferous captain, seasickness, and romance. The young BB was something of a catch for Rank, as was the Vistavision, but freshness and sparkle are already lacking.
