(Doctor Jekyll and Sister Hyde)

Country: GB
Technical: col 97m
Director: Roy Ward Baker
Cast: Martine Beswick, Ralph Bates, Gerald Sim

Synopsis:

Dr Jekyll elaborates a youth elixir from female hormones, transforming him into a beautiful but homicidal woman on consumption.

Review:

Appearing at about the same time as Amicus's I, Monster, this Hammer offering at least had the edge in the novel implications of its punning title. Ironically, although one might think the ploy was motivated by opportunities for enhanced sexual content by virtue of Miss Beswick, the reverse transpires to be the case, as the idea of Jekyll's alter ego sleeping with men doubtless left the producers just a little queasy.
