Dressage (1986)
Country: FR
Technical: Eastmancolor 98m
Director: Pierre B. Reinhard
Cast: Véronique Catanzaro, Patrick Guillemin, Cornélia Wilms
Synopsis:
During one of his licentious soirées, a voyeuristic baron (Plessis du Regard, I kid you not) makes the acquaintance of a young 'déshéritée' who is plotting the downfall of her 'unnatural' father by corrupting his legitimate daughter in the guise of 'préceptrice'. At the same time he enlists similar help from the most impudent girl present with a view to disgracing a reactionary politician. The two keep each other abreast of their respective progress by correspondence.
Review:
Rather old-fashioned bit of softcore, with most of the budget evidently spent on securing suitably elegant locations and props, and some scenes so starved of lighting it is hard to see what is going on. The two lead actresses nevertheless look splendid even in the prevailing penumbra, and the dialogue is at times witty enough. The overriding impression, however, is of a porno without any sex, explicit or otherwise, leaving the connoisseur having to content himself with the crumbs of a few Sadean references in the script.
