Enchanted (2007)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: Technicolor 107m
Director: Kevin Lima
Cast: Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Timothy Spall, Susan Sarandon

Synopsis:

A cartoon princess is transported to New York in the present and falls into the laps of a single Dad and easily won daughter. Meanwhile the wicked fairy godmother despatches prince, then assassin after her and finally comes herself to wreak havoc at the inevitable ball.

Review:

Disney plunders its back catalogue for fairytale motifs in this agreeable fish out of water scenario, Shrek meets Crocodile Dundee. Miss Adams is perfectly fine as the unspoilt heroine and there are some good jokes, even if it is all just too loud and the King Kong finale is a bit of a dud.
