Synopsis:

Solemn, old-fashioned espionage melodrama with an overwrought Rozsa score and voguish sex and violence. None of it convinces, from the television production values to the leaden writing that leaves talented actors beached like whales. It was all done with wit and style long before in The Spy in Black (1939).
