Freebie and the Bean (1974)
Country: US
Technical: col/scope 113m
Director: Richard Rush
Cast: James Caan, Alan Arkin
Synopsis:
Two San Francisco cops attempt to implicate a mobster in the numbers racket and do a lot of yelling and destruction of property on the way.
Review:
A typical 70s product: realistic dialogue but totally unreal situations. These two are entirely free of the paperwork bedevilling actual police officers, for instance, and show a cavalier disregard for public safety. That's supposed to be anarchically funny but it's badly dated now.
