The French Line (1953)
Country: US
Technical: col/3-D 102m
Director: Lloyd Bacon
Cast: Jane Russell, Gilbert Roland, Arthur Hunnicutt
Synopsis:
A jilted heiress takes a cruise to find a young man who will love her for herself and not her oil.
Review:
J.R. in 3-D!' screamed the billboards! She does indeed offer eye-popping moments both in the on-board gym ('Is anyone up for love?') and the climactic dance number, where you can't help musing on that Hughes self-supporting bra, but this is pretty charmless second feature fare, in unattractive colour and with Hunnicutt having to provide most of the fun.
