Havana (1990)
Country: US
Technical: col 145m
Director: Sydney Pollack
Cast: Robert Redford, Lena Olin, Alan Arkin
Synopsis:
A gambler in 1950s Cuba falls for a woman who is committed to the revolutionary movement.
Review:
Before proceeding to update Casablanca, the makers might perhaps have checked out Cabo Blanco and thought again. This is one of the supreme misfires of Pollack and Redford's careers, a shame after such a long and successful association, but these things happen, and the script is just no good - and too long!
