This TV movie crystallized the impression gained during the early stages of Covid 19 that the UK's care sector was in meltdown (inadequate PPE, falling staff numbers, lack of coordination with the NHS). Sporting an accent somewhat closer to her own, Comer confirmed her status as the most promising young actress of her generation. The final act flight scenario is an odd choice but, one supposes, makes the point that despite Sarah's solid instincts the crisis has returned her to the unruly behaviour of her origins.
