Howard the Duck (1986)
(Howard, a New Breed of Hero)
Country: US
Technical: col 111m
Director: Willard Huyck
Cast: Lea Thompson, Jeffrey Jones, Tim Robbins, Ed Gale
Synopsis:
A talking humanoid duck is beamed to Earth by a scientist and adopted by a struggling rock singer, but before they can work out how to get him home they have more interstellar company, only less friendly.
Review:
A notable Lucasfilm faux pas, in conjunction with Universal, this addition to the cartoon superhero bandwagon had its fans among comic nerds but to anyone else was a wasteful, unfunny mess. Pitched at adolescents rather than kids, it boasted an extraordinary 'sex with duck' scene.
