An exhaustively titled historiographical approach does little to clarify the progress of the action, nor does it quite match the perfunctory human-interest subplotting or again the Japanese actors speaking English with American accents. Even the battle sequences are compromised by the over-determined editing of contemporary footage into the action each time a pilot needs to crash to his doom.
