Probably the last time the older actor-director successfully married his jaded persona up against a nubile comic foil. Sorvino steals the show, certainly, showing Monroe-esque timing and sporting the kind of bosom-enhancing wardrobe that has only ever been surpassed by Julia Roberts in Erin Brockovich. The Greek chorus asides enacted in far away Messina are also choice - Allen at his revue-style best.
