Mort un dimanche de pluie (1986)

£0.00

Country: FR/SW
Technical: col/scope 109m
Director: Joël Santoni
Cast: Nicole Garcia, Dominique Lavanant, Jean-Pierre Bacri, Jean-Pierre Bisson

Synopsis:

The remote home of an architect, his wife and daughter is invaded by a parallel trio, the male counterpart of which happens to have lost the use of an arm and a leg in the collapse of one of the former's buildings.

Review:

Misleadingly titled, melodramatically told tale of sustained menace and revenge served cold. Good acting but tricksy editing and use of sound, with most developments signalled well in advance for habitués of this sort of thing. The finale is suitably tense, with Nicole Garcia fighting for her life in a red dress, but the departing shot towards a new dawn is frankly silly.
