The Maze (1953)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: bw/3-D 81m
Director: William Cameron Menzies
Cast: Richard Carlson, Veronica Hurst

Synopsis:

When her engagement is abruptly broken off, a girl follows her former fiancé to his Scottish island in the company of her aunt, and finds him curiously affected by the maze outside the castle.

Review:

Risible, perfunctory horror, which leaves the audience in the dark for far too long without keeping it entertained, and then does not even explain the fatal effects of confronting the monster. Cameron Menzies contributes the suitable gothic interiors, but this is a sad comedown. Presumably 3-D brought some added chutzpah.
