The Mummy's Tomb (1942)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: bw 61m
Director: Harold Young
Cast: Turhan Bey, George Zucco, Dick Foran

Synopsis:

The hero of The Mummy's Hand (Foran) recounts the events of thirty years past to his assembled family. Meanwhile the villain of the earlier film (Zucco), expiring but not quite dead, briefs his successor on his mission of vengeance. Now the mummy, Charis, (Chaney having taken over duties) sets about despatching the characters and their forbears, including also Wallace Ford.

Review:

Routine horror sequel in a soon to be extended franchise, low of budget but correspondingly brisk and endearing. Tellingly the mummy is not actually finished off but last seen stumbling about the flames of the burning house.
