An Oklahoma country boy picks up a girl who turns out to be a vampire, and soon finds himself one of a marauding, dysfunctional family of the undead.
Review:
Not the first modern day vampire tale but certainly the most depressing of a glut consisting of such as Fright Night and The Lost Boys, at least until Ferrara's The Addiction came along. The tone is set by the white trash milieu and the Tangerine Dream soundtrack, and all the night scenes do get monotonous, but Bigelow builds to an eerie massacre in a hick bar and a shootout at a motel.
