Undeniably thoughtful opening-out of a highly successful musical revue for the stage. The marriage of artifice and atrocity is perhaps unpalatable, but there lies the righteous anger of the piece, although inevitably what was a nod and a wink on stage now calls forth somewhat heavier cinematic guns.
