Schizopolis (1996)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 96m
Director: Steven Soderbergh
Cast: Steven Soderbergh, Betsy Brantley, David Jensen

Synopsis:

The lives of a writer for a Scientology firm, an orthodontist and a pest controller become enmeshed on the sexual/domestic front.

Review:

Surrealist essay on the idiotic ironies of life, positing a movement known as 'eventualism' as the possible way forward. One can see how it came out of Kafka perhaps, and it has an agreeably zany contribution from the director as actor, but it was clearly some kind of personal purge of ideas before he proceeded to more commercial ventures: it means little to anyone else.
