Skin Game (1971)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/scope 102m
Director: Paul Bogart
Cast: James Garner, Lou Gossett Jr., Susan Clark

Synopsis:

A con-man sells his friend, an enfranchised blackman, repeatedly to Southern plantation owners, and they share the loot when he escapes. The balance of power is of course in the white partner's favour.

Review:

A variation on an episode from The Good the Bad and the Ugly, the premise of this light comedy Western has of course its more serious side when one considers that it takes place before the Civil War. The script raises some pertinent issues and benefits from the two actors' sharp repartee.
