Smart People (2008)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/scope 95m
Director: Noam Murro
Cast: Dennis Quaid, Sarah Jessica Parker, Thomas Haden Church, Ellen Page

Synopsis:

A widowed English professor is definitely of the 'half empty' school of thought and owing to a seizure preventing him from driving for a few months he grudgingly accepts his happy-go-lucky adopted brother's help in return for bed and board. Then begins a faulty courtship with the doctor he met in E.R., frowned upon by his teenage daughter.

Review:

Wonder Boys meets Sideways, even down to the same university setting as the former film. It actually works quite well and comes over as fresh and authentic in a measured, Indie way.
