Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)

£0.00

Country: US/CZ/AUS/CAN/IT
Technical: col/2.39:1 129m
Director: Jon Watts
Cast: Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, Jake Gyllenhaal, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon

Synopsis:

After the events of Avengers Endgame have brought back a race of 'blip people', the complications affect Peter Parker and his peer group during a class trip to Europe. Meanwhile, Nick Fury enlists Spider-Man's help in confronting a new threat known as the Elementals, although Peter is more intent on winning the heart of a girl with Asperger's called MJ.

Review:

A hormonal love story, a plot that makes no kind of sense, and the usual wholesale destruction of a string of World Heritage sites are the uninspiring enticements of this second MCU outing devoted solely to Spider-Man. Yet another world domination narrative, and an increasingly indestructible hero in tandem with a definite eye for the teen market, testified to the infantilisation of a brand whose refreshing flippancy had offset the darkness of the later Avengers films.
