Spy Hard (1996)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 81m
Director: Rick Friedberg
Cast: Leslie Nielsen, Nicollette Sheridan, Charles Durning, Andy Griffith

Synopsis:

US Secret Service agent WD-40 is brought out of retirement to foil the satellite-launching scheme of his old enemy, General Rancor, and rescue their top female agent from his clutches.

Review:

Sub-Naked Gun goings-on, with a number of the same jokes, as if underlining the redundancy of another 007 lampoon. Instead of a nerdy Austin Powers or a geeky Johnny English, we have a superannuated hero, played by the ever game Mr Nielsen. Accordingly, almost all the characters are similarly advanced in years, save for the alarmingly uniform fawning female cast members. It all very quickly runs out of any indulgences left over from the star's former glories.
