Synopsis:
A lake shore in the Var is frequented by gay men seeking casual assignations. One of them makes friends with a straight regular who is there having recently split from his partner, and at the same time falls for a gay man who appears to have a lover. Then, one night by the lake he witnesses foul play, and everything changes.
Review:
Compelling enough by dint of its confinement to one location, as if like the protagonists we lived only for the time spent in this place of escapism and erotic adventure, this thinking (gay) man's Basic Instinct stokes up a pretty good quotient of suspense and personal identification with the two main 'good' characters. However, the sex scenes will have many male viewers shifting in their seats, and the mounting death toll at the end strains credibility.
