Switchblade Sisters (1975)

(The Jezebels)

Country: US
Technical: col 91m
Director: Jack Hill
Cast: Robbie Lee, Joanne Nail, Monica Gayle, Asher Brauner

Synopsis:

Rival L.A. high school gangs fight it out for control of their turf, and a badass new girl takes over leadership of the all-girl Dagger Debs.

Review:

We have Quentin Tarantino to thank (or hold responsible, depending on your opinion) for this moderately well made piece of Seventies exploitation. Nothing in it even remotely rings true, least of all Robbie Lee's acting, and it manages to squeeze in every cliché in the book, from a lesbian reformatory warder to an Othello subplot. The chicks are foulmouthed but beautifully turned out, the guys all potential rapists with a yellow streak, you get the idea.
