The Strong Man (1926)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: bw(col) 75m (24fps)
Director: Frank Capra
Cast: Harry Langdon, Gertude Astor, Tay Garnett

Synopsis:

A soldier travels from the trenches of Europe after the war to American to look for his sweetheart, and finds himself working as assistant to a strong man.

Review:

A star comedy which has not worn particularly well - perhaps it is Langdon's boyish physiognomy in our more cynical times, but then look at Adam Sandler. One episode in which a gangster's moll has to seduce him to recover something from his person still raises a titter.
