Taken 3 (2014)

Country: FR/US/SP
Technical: col/2.35:1 108m
Director: Olivier Mégaton
Cast: Liam Neeson, Forest Whitaker, Famke Janssen, Maggie Grace, Dougray Scott

Synopsis:

Bryan Mills, the security worker with special skills, finds himself implicated in the shady business dealings of his former wife's husband.

Review:

Cinema of a kind that is edited to within an inch of its life (approximately one second per shot, half that for action scenes) the better to disguise how unreal everything is: having exploded a tower block elevator shaft, caused a major traffic pile-up, trashed an off-licence and left a penthouse looking like a war zone, Mills (Neeson) gets not so much as a slap on the wrist from Inspector Dotzler (Whitaker)! Aside from that, it passes the time painlessly enough.
