The Time Machine (1960)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 103m
Director: George Pal
Cast: Rod Taylor, Yvette Mimieux, Alan Young

Synopsis:

A scientist invents a time machine which transports him back and forth in time until he finishes up in a world in the far distant future, where surface-dwelling Eloi live in constant fear of the subterranean Morlocks.

Review:

The effects may be a little cheesy now, but Pal's envisioning of Wells's classic, with the author as its hero, is an imaginative, impressively realized fantasy pic which still manages to chill with its monstrous Id-like Morlocks.
