They Might Be Giants (1972)
Country: US
Technical: col 88m
Director: Anthony Harvey
Cast: George C. Scott, Joanne Woodward
Synopsis:
A psychoanalyst named Dr Watson is asked to certify an ex-lawyer who thinks he is Sherlock Holmes by a brother who wants to seize his fortune, but finds herself drawn into his world.
Review:
A quite dotty entertainment against realistic modern New York surroundings, which seems to be saying that the insane can see more clearly than the normal as it introduces a whole array of the fellow deluded. The dénouement, however, fails to tie up the very real story which shadows the action and cleverly justifies all the hero's detection.
