Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
Country: GB/US
Technical: col/scope 119m
Director: Roger Spottiswoode
Cast: Pierce Brosnan, Jonathan Pryce, Teri Hatcher, Michelle Yeoh
Synopsis:
A media tycoon with global ambitions harbours a scheme to provoke war between Britain and China, and 007 is assigned the task of scuttling his plans, with the help of a female Chinese agent.
Review:
Brosnan's second outing as Bond is in many ways a return to The Spy who Loved Me-type nonsense, with an underwhelming villain, a preposterous scheme for world domination, and a remote control car. The distaff cast members inject some sparkle , but the Irishman's reign is already looking tired.
