Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 101m
Director: John Landis, Steven Spielberg, Joe Dante, George Miller
Cast: Dan Aykroyd, Vic Morrow, Scatman Crothers, John Lithgow, Kathleen Quinlan

Synopsis:

Portmanteau homage to the Fifties TV series about paranormal phenomena, consisting of a framing device and four episodes of variable effectiveness.

Review:

Dante's fiendish cartoon characters and Miller's in-flight nightmare constitute the best of this updating exercise, partly because they are largely free of the undue reverence and sermonizing of the other stories, partly because they fulfill the promise of the prologue in achieving the uncanny. Goldsmith's musical backing meanwhile is outstanding.
