Perhaps the most grandiose Bond yet in concept and in the scale of production, with a massive interior set for the launch pad. Pleasence makes a splendid impression as the villain from relatively few scenes, and was very much the subject of parody in the Austin Powers movies, in an odd reversal of silk purses and sows' ears.
